| is the lower crown milled out like the top crown.......... | James : Go-Ride Jan 21, 2004 4:17 PM | | Basically both crowns are made up of U-shaped pockets, much like a Dorado or Stratos crown.

| nice.... | zedro Jan 21, 2004 4:35 PM | | i see they were tested in outer space too :) |
| nice.... | James : Go-Ride Jan 21, 2004 4:47 PM | | Well originally we were trying to figure out how to make some sort of connection between "Return of the Jedi" to like "these turn like a Jedi." Then I realized how stupid that was, but I'd already put the crowns into space. But since I'm an American, did I actually put them into space? Or is it all just an elaborate hoax designed to put our northern neighbors into a tizzy over whether or not we have the capacity for space travel?
They're for the Marzocchi 888R for those who don't know, like the guy who posted the next thread ;)

| re: Sneak Peek... | DHRracer Jan 22, 2004 1:02 AM | | James,I'll take mine black(matching the stock black).Do you have a time frame and price determined yet? Will it except the intergrated stem?If so will it blend together better(on my stock stem/upper crown they just don't look like they were designed to go together? |
| question.... | dhgoat Jan 22, 2004 5:35 AM | | James,
Would I benefit from running this on the 7inch version of the 888 ?
and if so, how so?
thank you |
| question.... | HTFR Jan 22, 2004 10:07 AM | | yes it will still help lower the 7 inch version even more so. |
| Answer to a lot of questions | Moriority Jan 22, 2004 3:50 PM | | The crowns are designed for the 888. The purpose of it is that it lowers the fork making your head angle steeper. This will make this very tall fork work really well with the geometry of most downhill bikes. Bikes that have really slack head angles don't corner!! It is machined from solid chunks of 6061 aluminum. The clamping surfaces are all the same as the stock 888. It will accept the stock bolt on stem. All of this should be the same for the 7 inch version. It should also still clear a 3 inch tire. Last but not least it weighs about the same as the stock setup. For more details call James at Go-Ride. |
| Answer to a lot of questions | kanter Jan 22, 2004 6:06 PM | | It's actaully lighter according to Scott, approx 90-100 grams.......... |
