NORBA and the new Marathon racesyetirich

Hello,
I have sent emails to NORBA about the new Marathon races and have not heard back from them (big suprise). Does anyone have any info outside what is on the UCI website about courses and distances. This will be the main focus for this year's race season and need to know at least some of the rules.

Thanks in advance for any info

Rich

If you are refering to the marathon races that are being run in conjuction with the NORBA National races, you would need to talk to Tom at Team Big Bear. Though I doubt he has any idea of the exact course or distances at this time.

I hear the distances are going to be around 100K. I also hear that it's such a big thing now in Europe that there should be some fast European racers showing up at all of the NORBA marathons so they can qualify for Worlds.

The course we are working on is a two lap course (approx 31 miles each lap) with about 3,500' feet of climbing on each lap. It will start at 7am on Sunday, May 23. The Classes will be Open Men, Men 19-29,30-39,40-49, & 50+. Open Women, 19-29,30-39,40+
