Anyone raced this event or on this course? What is the trail like and recommended tires? Several of us may come down from Michigan for this event and to escape the snow.

I've ridden there many times. The course rides through woods around an active limestone quarry. It can be quite rough in places, very rocky. There are alot of short, steep climbs. I would guess no single climb is more than 30 vertical feet, but they add up after a while. Momentum is the key. There are also some nice long wooded sections that aren't so pounding. If it rains the quarry sections will be a nightmare, bring your singlespeeds.

You can camp at the venue, though I don't think they have potable water. They do have a bike wash (and body wash) and portalets that will get nasty on Saturday.

The event is fairly well run, though it has NEVER started on time. It will probably start at 10:30 or thereabouts. They serve lunch and dinner. Overall it is a pretty good value for the price.

Drop me a line if you want more info. I plan on racing solo this year.

My folks have a place in Ft Myers so I decided to make a vacation of it and do the 12hr solo while I'm down there. Looking forward to it.

Go to http://www.goneriding.com

The race is the last saturday in February.

I might be able to put up some people if they would rather sleep on a couch or futon 30 minutes from the race rather than sleep on the ground.

The nearest hotels are about 15 minutes away (they should be on the website)

I am looking for a team to ride with for the 12 hours of Razorback. I have been racing for about 7 years and compete in sport 30 to 40 class. Although I haven't done any 12 or 24 hour races yet, I've heard that it's a blast. I also live in Orlando so I am also fairly close by. Please contact me at bradnemcik@msn.com
