Any one know of a good training routine for racing 50 to 100 mile races? I work and have a family so early morning and/or late evening plus weekends is all I have time for. Good thing is I bought a Spin bike so training will be a bit more convienent. Are there any good web sites on training that dont cost $$$ ?

I've only rode one, but I think my approach worked pretty well, at least for a first race. I basically tried to do one long ride on the weekend, progressively increasing the miles until my longest ride of 70. Try to ride trails that will give you a similar amount of climbing to what you expect to do in the race. I typically increased the mileage by 5 or 10 per week. Most people say you should do your long ride 2 weekes to a month before, and then decrease mileage as the race gets closer. Though my long ride was the weekend before, and it wasn't a problem. During the week try to get out two or three times for an hour or two and you'll be fine.
