Hi,

A few years ago I asked Trilife (via email) why 2-person teams were no longer offered in Canada when they are in the USA. The basic response was that there wasn't enough demand in Canada for that category. Hmmmmmmm, are we that different than our fellow mountain bikers to the south? I doubt it.
I spoke to a guy at a 100-mile race this past summer who was on a 2-man team in California and said it was great. It turned out to be a race within a race as each tried to beat the others prior lap time until the legs were fried. Mmmmmm, fun!
To me it seems like the best format for a lot of people who have been doing 24hrs for years (supporting Trilife) but are looking for something different.

So, a few questions......

1/ Yanks - Do available 2-person team slots get filled up?
2/ Canucks - Would you go for a 2-person team?
3/ Canucks - If so, are you going to ask Trilife about this ASAP?

Any other comments/thoughts are more than welcome.

Cheers,
Dave

The races that I have done as a duo (Moab, 24HOA-Winter Park, Conyers, GA) have had field sizes numbering in the 25-35 range. I prefer duo to both 4 man and solo. It is a great format, and definitely has its own unique challenges. I've never seen field limits in the catagory.
