This is the only bike I own, and I was just invited to join a team for the Adrenaline series. What do you think - too much heft for this sort of thing, or will I be alright?

Thanks everyone.
If you can do long rides on it normaly i dont see why not.nathan.j

My brother did a 100km endurance raceon a 36lb stinky and faired pretty well, i offered him my bike for it ,26lb NRS, and he said hed much rather do it on a bike he was comfortable on, so he did.

I took both my bikes to a 24 hr race last year and here are my thoughts.

Sugar @ 27 lbs. - I found I could go faster and climb better. I also felt refreshed after the ride. I'm sure that was just imagination on my part.

Id @ 30 lbs. - I was more tired on the hills but at 1 AM when I blew the front tire, the Z1 FR on the Id saved me. I was bombin' down a hill and the Z1 was able to absorb the punch.

This year I've decided to just stick with the Sugar. The Id was great but too much bike for me for a race. If it was the only bike I had, I would have no problem riding it. It's mostly a matter of what you feel comfortable on.
