I believe that the geometry of both the bars is the same...any bar experts out there? I am not liking the new bar.... |

I've never used a Synchros....that's why it's a guess.
My only suggestion is to give the new bar some more time, but if you still don't like it, consider cutting it down to the same width as the Synchros....but BEFORE you cut it, move all your shifters, levers AND grips inwards until they match where they would have been on the Syncros......then go for a ride......if it feels better than you can lop off the extra length.
