Oct 16, 2001 4:16 AM | | I have a GF Sugar 1 with a Bontrager Race Lite crank, and a Shimano B-B. It squeaks when I pump hard on the crank. I've cleaned and greased the cranks and still no peace and quiet. Any suggestions? The bike was purchased in June, and I have a friend with a similar situation. |

Oct 16, 2001 9:38 AM | | Are you sure it's the crank? More often, it's bottom bracket noise. You need to tighten the bb. You might need to pull it out and tape it with teflon tape or just smear it with some grease, but usually it quiets down just from doing SOMEthing that results in tightening. |
