I got a sram/sachs pc80r and pc89r on sale at rei. I read a past post where people said the pc89r was compatable with my 9sp mtb. is the pc80r compatable with shimano 8sp drivetrains? thanks

I have been using the PC89R with my 9sp Mtb for 3 years. I also picked up 5 chains from REI as well. Great Deal !

they said both chains should be fine for both road or mtb.
