What luck have you had with cheaper replacement rings for 8 speed XTR 4-bolt?

No way am i paying 100.00 bucks for one chain ring. Ive got XTR 4bolt too and just put a five arm spider on the crank and bought Raceface five bolt rings, they work really good, almost as good as the XTR. The only difference is they're not quite as smoooth shifting, close but not quite. Im a nit picker BTW.
No problem...Metroid

If you need a big ring, I would suggest you just buy an new 5 arm 110/74 BCD spider (Black Spire, AC, Vuelta, Shimano, etc) and get whatever rings you want. There are lots of choices here.

If you just need a middle or granny, you can order Black Spire 4 bolt standard middle rings to replace your XTR. These are very highly rated chainrings and available at Webcyclery. MeanTodd had quoted me $38 for the middle and $15 for the granny but that was a while ago so give them a call.
