Dec 31, 2003 8:22 AM | | Look for a "shark fin" appearance where the front side of the teeth develop a concave profile that "hooks" the chain.
Don't confuse profiled teeth for otherwise bent, mangled, or missing teeth. Sometimes it helps to have a new or new-ish chainring on hand for comparison.
