Worth upgrading from LX Shifters?Little Frog

I ride a 2003 Ellsworth Truth.
It currently has LX shifters with everything else being XTR.
Should I look to upgarde to XT or XTR?
Is the performance noticably better?

I upgraded to XT and didn't notice any significant improvemnet. Waste of money to be honest. Ride until they fail.
Ditto what Steve F said...Schtoo

Yes it is noticable. Is the improvment worth it? No.

Plus, getting XT/XTR shifters is getting more difficult all the time. My LBS had to really hunt down the ones he got 3 months ago, and said forget it in the future.

If you decide to try it and can't get a shifter, try the road trigger shifter. Ultegra level I think for triathlon bars I think. It's basically XT without a label. ;)
