holy grail of shifting?(2 posts)

holy grail of shifting?gc

Man, I have been a Shimano guy for a long time. Even know some of the "higher ups".

However, the new proprietary technology turned me off. I am not going to "Shimano-ize" an entire bike even when I was down with the stuff. So, after a little shopping, I switched to the SRAM triggers.

No more ghost shifting? Nope, none. I have had ghost shifting issues on my 4 bar bike for a long time and never could get it right for very long. With the SRAM my ghosting is gone. Smooth. Rarely, if ever, needs adjustment. Set it up and forget it. Reliable. Isn't that what a drive train is supposed to be?

The system is a bit counter-intuitive as I have been a 953RR guy (Rapid Rise) forever, but other than that the system rocks. I'll be putting my XTR stuff on ebay soon as I am sold.
Yup, my X.9 triggers spank my XTR. nmTscheezy
