Are the bottom brackets compatible between the LX and XT.
I'm 170lbs.and ride a brand new XC FS bike.

Jan 11, 2004 6:59 PM | | I'm no tech guru, but recently added 2003 XT cranks to my bike. My understanding of the 03 line is that the ES51 Bottom bracket was compatible with both the LX and XT. I'm using ES51 (LX) bottom bracket with the XT crankset. They're both octalink. I think I ended up with this just because that was what my LBS had in stock. I can't comment on the 2004 models. Hopefully, someone else can verify and add to my info. |
