Remove cablestops...Full length housing way to go...YaMon

I am thinking of grinding the cable stops on my Dare. Frankly I don't see the advantage of having 1 ft. of cable in the open. There are more points where contaminants can enter the system. Anyone done this in the past ?? Do you find that the time between cable change is significantly increased ??

Thanks Mon.
Yep, service intervals increased, friction decreased...f'nætik (aka næstep)

It's a good move. Click on my "head" icon next to my name if you want to see a step-by-step post with some pics of one of the ways of doing it. Fonseca also posted a step-by-step in brake tim.
Or use IRD cables and you do not need to remove anything get full length housing and save weight (nm)Davide
