Please if anyone can help me to determine initial chain lenght?!

Dont know where and how to start.

Asuming that in particular front/rear derailer position, have to determine REAR derailer angle and tension!

Thanks,

NNJ

Something about 90° cage angle when the chain is in a certain position.

The mountain bike version, probably on account of the generous pie plates we ride with, takes the lowest common denominator approach: Leave just enough chain that you can shift into "big
big" without breaking anything.

Without running the chain through the rear derailleur, follow this Shimano diagram:

Don't forget to account for any suspension movement if needed. For most designs, the 2 to 3 extra links will cover you, but pay attention to it just incase.

Remember that it's a worst case scenario, since you ought not be riding in the big-big gear combination as a matter of course.
