Yet another driveline - ISIS/SQ taper BB Question(3 posts)

Yet another driveline - ISIS/SQ taper BB QuestionBenM

I currently have a 123mm square taper BB with middle and granny rings only. Chainline is too far out - granny is aligned with 5th and middle is aligned with 7th (9speed). So on 2 ring setup ideal would be halfway between middle and granny to be lined up with 5th??? This means I have to move rings in 3.5mm, which means I need a 7mm narrower BB spindle??? So about 115mm would be good??? I want to switch to ISIS so how does this change things in relation to where the cranks sit on ISIS and square taper?????
ISIS spindle is 113mm, if I remember right....Monte

113 and 118 are both available in ISIS. Another option (since I have e-type mech) is to fit a 113 non e-type - which will become a 115.5 on the drive side if I have enough crank clearance on the non drive side (think so). Question is will it be the right size???
