Bakka, Avalanche 1.0, Chute/Roast, Holeshot, Stiffee, etc.(5 posts)

Bakka, Avalanche 1.0, Chute/Roast, Holeshot, Stiffee, etc.just like to ride

I'm doing a little research into my next bike. I am narrowing my choice by these requirements:
STRONG, Hardtail, can handle 3-4" of travel up front, can still climb like a goat, (or atleast like a goat on a bad day), has a replaceable derailleur hanger, option for V's and Disc's, should be relatively light.
Those requirements are in order of importance, also.
I've read the reviews, but I'm looking for a little compare/contrast
between some or all of these bikes- or some you think I should look into: Voodoo Bakka, GT Avalanche 1.0, Kona Chute/Roast, Brodie Holeshot, Cove Stiffee, Spooky Pitboss, Tomac Buckshot.
I want something that can do it all- climb, corner, jump a little, be dropped a little, and shine on the way down.
I may buy a complete bike and upgrade, or I may buy a frame and build it.
I live in New England. I don't race, nor plan on any endurance rides.
Thanks for reading my novel, and for your help!

I like the Kona Chute, it isn't really a fast xc bike and it can't climb like some pure xc bikes but it can take drops and other technical stuff with ease.

The Avalanche 1.0 is a nice bike too, it isn't as strong as the kona though. Also, GT is going down the tubes unfortunetly.

Other then that the Holeshot would be one of my final choices, can't climb quite as well as the chute but is much better for taking drops and stuff.

Are VooDoo's still available then? I would really like to stock some for later, I already have a 2nd Bokor built up, just to replace my racebike, I know Al doesn't last forever...
The Bakka would be a cool thing for me to build up with all the heavy parts I got, make it a funbike of some kind...

Please let me know about the VooDoo's. By the way, I really loved the Bakka prototype I saw once, great steel bike, must be a hell of a good ride...
