I live in Jersey City, so I've been paying extra close attention to the press, but I guess I'm out of the loop.

Basically it is a safeguard at this time to keep the Prez and Vice Prez separated. Cheney is the one that called GWB down in Naples and told him not to return immediately to DC. He gave an interview to somebody online, one of the big networks, but that was about it.

Of course Wasp probably has a theory that has Cheney plotting the demise of over One Billion Muslims worldwide and is currently funding weapontry that will spare Zionist Jews and Christians during this attack.

At least I am sure it will be something along those lines.

Peace be with you all...

....Bush's approval rating is 90% right now. That ought to show you just how simple-minded and stupid many of our fellow Americans can be. He isn't doing anything that wouldn't be a standard response to an attack of this magnitude; ANY elected official would advocate a war on "terrorism". But what he is doing is spewing some of the most idiotic rhetoric like "they attacked our freedom" and "we are going to wipe out evil", and the American public is eating it up. He's trying to rile up the American public to inadvertently support his administration's much larger Middle-East agenda. This "terrorism" beeswax is just an excuse. You just watch....the U.S. military, after it's slaughtered thousands of innocent Afghanis, will move west and attack Iraq.

That pea-brain is milking this situation for all it's worth as well, thinking that he can do what his father failed miserably to do: ride out his success from the Gulf War into a second term. After all this "war on terrorism" business fizzles out in six months, he'll have to face the sh*t that's going down in OUR country, like the economy.

When all is said and done, the amount of green people find in their wallets is a hell of a lot more important than what they see on the New York skyline. Bush will be gone in four....just like daddy. Good riddance, already.

Not changing the subject but the first two sentences and your general thoughts... I said and was feeling the same when Clinton got elected/re-elected. Clinton proved he was all TALK(a pea brain milking every situation) and a liar, it remains to be seen what this administration does.
Cheney's presence will screw up Bush's plan.......Wwaspinator

Cheney is hated by the arabs. He was the mastermind behind the Gulf War. Probably the guy who gave the order to slaughter RETREATING Iraqi soldiers. Also, after Cheney openly supported Israel's internationally condemned assassination policy, his face needs to be hidden as much as possible.

If the pea-brain Bush doesn't have the support of the arab nations, his agenda in the Middle East won't be successful. For him to have arab support, Cheney's fat, heart-diseased a$$ must stay out of sight.

When the magnitude of the disasters became clear, and Georgie did his speeches, I said to a buddy of mine: "Junior finally got his war!".
Like daddy, he wanted a real war in which he would assume the role of hero. Everything in his manners told us : he needed these attacks to start the World War he's been dreaming of for quite some time.
Too bad about the economical effects of a destroyed World Trade Center, and Laura seems quite moved by all the personal tragedies.

Junior is now dragging all of NATO in a World War he singlehandedly created. The attacks were merely better-coordinated acts of terrorism than the world has become used to. Our biggest fear, some professionalism amongst the terrorists...

I say, that if you hadn't let Junior STEAL the 49% mayority (!) votes, Gore would have taken care of this in a much more suptle way, which would not only have saved innocent Arabs, but also ignorant American boys 'n gals.

Brrrr, I shiver when I see the pro-America propaganda. Folks torching flags around, I see creepy paralels to what started in Germany around 1933...

ANd about the MAYOR attitude problem a lot of Arabs now appear to have : let's support Arab people and organizations that preech to be tolerant and disagree with terrorism. Arabs will only listen to other Arabs that have impressing knowlegde of the Koran and Arab life. Terrorism thrives on war, it can be stopped with patience and tact.
Amen, Wwaspy!Cheech
