I converted several months ago. I put plastic plugs in the fork. These plugs are called X-mass trees and are used to hold interior panels on car doors. On the swing arm, I used 10mm plastic drain plugs, also from the automotive store. Plus, plastic is light.

Instead of bolts to fill the holes left by the brake bosses, my LBS had these plastic plugs that you just pop into the holes. Practically weigh nothing, and they will never discolor or rust.

For bolts, try a good hardware store....I've had good luck with Ace Hardware for even the most obscure stuff I needed.
