b So you thouht I know something new? I know my LBS & myself are just getting lip service. Go to GT's Website. Since the "contact GT" is down, go to "On line warrenty" fill out as "Unhappy customer" -- use your imagination. Let them know how you feel about the excecs. getting fat bonuses while we only get the bone. Submit it 100 times. I don't like to resort to such tactics but this is truly bulls@it what they'er NOT doing -honoring warrenty's in a reasonable time.I work for a power company that sold its Power plants for 5 billion. I work in inventory control. We managed to resolve OUR inventory issues. This is a piddly 80 million dollar deal . Raise He!! with 'em. being reasonable gets nowhere...
I like the idea but...eelpie

since GT has been so unresponsive in the past, they're probably not even supporting their web site and if they are, they'll just delete all those emails en mass. They've never been the best with customer service from my experience and their web site has always been a real piece.

Nice idea tho! Something needs to be done.
Anyway to get a hold of Pacific via phone or e-mail? nmMRfire

Went to Pacific's website.... it sucks worse than GT's(go figure) They dont give a sh!t about us they have lost most of their small LBS. all they are worried about is how to make these bikes even more pieces of crap to sell them to the "unknowing" public at Wally World. I too am so freakin sick of dealing with this too. I am just ordering a new frame, I'm tired of screwing with this company.

b That's exactly what they WANT you to do...Here's what they told my LBS....First, all the discounted GT,s ypu see at companies like Supergo, etc. are sold without any warrentys. In fact they don't even have serial #'s. If you have a serial numbered frame that needs replacement, they will supposedly continue to warrenty it. Here is the catch though, If that frame brakes you are subject to get whatever GT/Schwinn is making at that point in time. My LBS was told they will eventually carry no product more than $1,500.I paid a bit more than that I think so any cost cutting will definately be in the production of the frames....I have an 6 yr. old Trek hardtail is getting me through this Bu!!sh@t. They will lose my business forever.......like they care.....
