My Specialized Rockhopper A1, dark blue matte (somewhat sparkly) in color was recently stolen, and I am trying to remember what year the bike came out. If I remember correctly, the "specialized" writing on the frame was in white. I've tried the search engines, but have not been able to find pictures of the older models to find my information.
I THINK it was either 1998 or 1999 model. Does anyone know? |

Nov 2, 2001 10:14 PM | | hey there, don't know if this helps but i have a Specialized Rockhopper A1 like yours. Mine is a 2000 model. It is black and blue; but its not sparkly. Are u sure its sparkly? The blue color is kind of like a dark sky blue; Specialized calls it "battleship blue". so i don't know. try calling specialized or their website. hope this helps. |

Nov 3, 2001 7:45 PM | | I think that sounds like a 1998 model, i've got a friend who's got a 98 rockhopper with the specialized symbol written on it in white, although his frame is red, he has Manitou Spyder R forks on it. what sort of forks did you have on it?, because you can usually tell what year model it is by the forks that that company used that year. good luck in finding your bike. |
