Didn't someone(mountainspeed?) make a titanium rear triangle for Trek/Fisher Y bikes some time ago. Anyone know if anyone still makes aftermarket rear triangles, or where I could get a used one?

used to make a replacement rear triangle for the Y. I don't know if they're still in buisness or still make the parts. As far as I know the rear triangles that they produced were not titanium and were designed for downhill applications (ie; longer chainstays). You could try finding BOULTON on the web.
