| re: Fastest, most lightweight UST Tires? | DIRT BOY Dec 11, 2001 9:13 AM | | The only one that I have seen that are some what light are the Schwable line of UST.
I have not tried yet becuase I need a rear with a little mote tread than the Fast Fred. I run a Mosqutio-Front/Python-Rear.
Need something similar to the Python.

Fast Fred UST-Semi Slick:
SCHWALBE's champion in the dual discipline of light weight (580 g) and light running tires. The new and unique Qualifier Compound has extremely low rolling resistance and the yielding shape offers amazing grip. Special OCG Shoulder blocks (OCG = Off-Camber-Grip®) offer perfect hold in curves and traversing slopes.
FAST FRED is also available as non-UST tire.
Size: 26 x 2.00"
James Gang UST:
SKINNY JIMMY UST (26 x 1.90) weights approx. 610 grams, quite a light-weight for a genuine studded UST tire.
JIMMY UST(26 x 2.10) and SKINNY JIMMY UST excel as Cross Country and Enduro Race tires.
The wider BIG JIM (26 x 2.25) is a draw for all Freeriders. All can be ridden at reduced pressure, offering better shock absorption with still more traction.
SKINNY JIMMY, JIMMY, BIG JIM and KING JIM are also available as non-UST tires.
Size: 26 x 1.90", 26 x 2.10", 26 x 2.25" |
