| Anyone MTB in Costa Rica??? | Dozer Dec 11, 2001 9:10 AM | | I'm leaving on Saturday for Costa Rica and I have read that there is some decent trails around the mountains. I guess I'm looking for some specifics as to whether you rented a bike and whether I should bring my shoes (I assume rental bikes only have flats). Thanks in advance for any info. |

or you can do what I just did and type in mountain biking in Costa Rica in Google. :-) I would bring my own shoes and pedals. They don't take up much room and if they don't have clipless you'll be all set.
From what I've heard they have lots of trails and many, many mountains. They even have rides that go from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific and are fully supported. So it figures that they'll have some local stuff too.
Have fun.
