I'm looking for something to keep my feet warmer on cold snowy wet night rides. Does anyone have any experience with this shoe? In a different situation I'd purchase some of the Lake's or Sidi Storms but I'm getting married and buying a house so funds are limited. These shimano's are pretty cheap right now.
get the lakes from bikeman... good price.. worth it! nmpuff

Sierra, the place in Wyoming, was blowing them out last year for $29 a pair. I got a pair a size larger than my normal, and have been riding the heck outa them on snow rides all this winter. they're great. I use Powergrips, not spds, so I ground down the lugged soles a tad for easier use, and snowsealed them. I wear them with heavy ragg wool sox, and goretex sox over that if I figure I'm gonna be hike-a-biking thru drifts. I love them, and didn't even know shitmano ever made them. good price, get a pair if you ride in the winter.

Bought mine last year on closeout for like $30. Love 'em to death! Waterproof (w/ duct tape over the cleat area in the insole) and warm! Like you, I couldn't justify the Sidi's even with lust factor.
