I got a square taper BB-Shimano UN-72 (XT?). Are there any reliable lighter weight ones people recommend? I don't want to have to repair or replace it all the time. THX

The XT is a good BB. Im running one on the current bike. One suprising BB that i ran for some 2 years and never gave up was the Action Tec Ti BB. There pretty cheap, and weigh about 160 something grams.

I didn't like having to change my shimano BB every once in a while either, so I decided to get a Phil Wood BB. I'm not sure about the weight difference off the top of my head, but it's solid, and smooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth.
