Should I go Tubeless?(2 posts)

Should I go Tubeless?yeti
Mar 11, 2002 10:46 AM
I've been thinking about springing for a tubeless wheelset, but I'd like to find out from tubeless users if the benefits are worth the price. It seems that all the talk is about CrossMax UST wheels, but are there reliable tubeless wheelsets that are affordable? Anyone have experience with the new Bontrager Mustang Tubeless rims? Seems that Mustang Tubeless rims built on King hubs would be affordable and at least on par with CrossMax UST, no? Any advice?

If you race, tubeless is the way to go since most tires are made for either CC or DH in the tubeless format. There are better systems the UST from Mavic or anyother company. No Tubes system is lighter and cost less. Plus, you can use your current wheelset. The cost is about $25.00. I am not a beliver in Tubeless because the tire choice are so limited. I dont race and I dont think I ever will. I ride rough trails and dont pinch flat at all.
Good Luck
