| 2 part tire question | TomFL Mar 11, 2002 4:29 PM | | Anyone have any tire suggestions for N Georgia? I'm looking for a lightweight, fast rolling 1.9-2.1 non-UST for a May trip. Don't know what to expect as it's my first time in the area.
Also, on a second note:
Anyone have a tire they really like for SE Florida? Looking for lightweight, very fast rolling tread, same non-ust 1.9-2.0. Most of the riding (and occasional race)I do here at home is on improved trail surface, from sugar sand to mulch, to marl, with palmetto roots thrown in here and there. I have tried Maxxis Mimo (terrible, NO cornering grip), Maxxis Larsen (better but not great), and like the Bontrager Revolt Super X front, Kenda Klimax Lite Rear (too many flats).
Looking for input/opinions, as it's tire time again.

| One part tires work better! 80) - real answer inside | shiggy Mar 11, 2002 4:54 PM | | The tire combo I reach for when I am heading for conditions-unknown is the Michelin "Front S" and "XL S" (1.95 or 2.1). They are full knobbies but are very fast rolling and work well, if not great, on most everything. Even OK in the slop. |
