Can I use a 27mm diameter seatpost in a frame that is supposed to have a 27.2mm seatpost?

Or break the frame . . .

Seatposts are pretty cheap, get the right one. Think about what you're dealing with should there be a seat or post issue while riding. 'nuff said.

Yes, you can. I did for 6 months before I bought a 27.2 seatpost. It worked fine.
