| Good mud tires? | rturanc Apr 2, 2002 11:15 AM | | I saw an earlier post probably a couple weeks ago on great muddin' tires. I think the deal was Hutchinson Gators on JensonUSA for $12. Well, looks like they're gone now. I'm looking for something w/ great traction and shedding and is a good deal. Any help would be appreciated. By the way Michelin Wildgrippers shed great but have zero traction in mud. |

| The Best Mudtires are... | msylvan Apr 2, 2002 2:39 PM | | 17 years of riding mud in the Pacific Northwest has led to the following view: the best mud tires are either WTB Velocoraptors or IRC Mythos. Many in this area believe that Mythos 1.9s cannot be beat, but just as many love Velocoraptors and they have tougher sidewalls. |

In 18 years of riding, I prefer the IRC Mud Mad 1.95, the old Specialized Storm Control, Tioga Factory Mud and Hutchinson Alligator. |
