Can someone who received the latest issue of MountainBikeAction please tell me about the bike test for the Tomac 98 Special? I am considering a purchase but MBA won't be available on newstands until the 11th of the month.

Thanks

IF IT HELPS ANY, MY FRIEND WHO USED TO RACE AND WON HIS FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP HIS FIRST YEAR OUT ON A 4 BAR FSR AND NOW OWNS THE NEWWER FSR. WELL HE WORKS AT A LOCAL BIKE SHOP AND THE TOMAC REP LET HIM USE THE 2002 DEMO FOR A FEW DAYS. HE IS NOW SELLING HIS MOTO-X BIKE TO BUY THE TOMAC.A COMMENT FROM HIS RIDING BUDDIES WAS "SLOW DOWN" AFTER RIDING THE NEW DEMO.HE SAID IT WAS A BIKE THAT LOVES TO BE RIDDEN FAST AND IS VERY PLUSH.A LITTLE BIT HEAVY , BUT DIDNT NOTICE THE WEIGHT.

Nice bike. Received good review with one major flaw. Chain stays are not curved/shaped, and testers complained frequently about hitting heel.
