cyclocomputer2wheels
Apr 3, 2002 7:34 AM
i'm looking to buy a simple cyclocomputer and have a couple questions:

1. generally do they have clocks built into them? because when reading the descriptions, they don't mention anything about clocks and i was wondering if thats a standard thing or not.

2. any suggestions between the "cateye mity 3" or the "cateye enduro 2" (does either have a time clock?)

thanks

can display current speed on same screen as odometer or current time of day.great deal for $$$.
go with the endurobikingzac

they are both great but the enduro is water resistant and the mity isn't and the enduro has a nice thick wire that is much harder to break than the mity wire. The enduro is usually only a couple $ more.

i've been running an enduro for 4 months now and it's performed flawlessly. it is amazingly accurate, you'll love it.

Enduro 2 rocks. For $30 you get:

- A time clock, just like you asked.
- Trip time.
- Trip average speed.
- Trip maximum speed.
- TWO trip distance counters.
- Odometer.
- Switchable between manual (like a stopwatch) and automatic (only computes stats for the time you're actually riding) modes.
- TWO programmable wheel sizes.
- Same features as the Mity 3 but with a heavier-duty wire.

It is amazingly accurate, just like daneil said, as long as you program in the wheel size right. FAR more accurate than my car's odometer.

actually, the mity 3 is waterproof nmarsonist101

I think you may be able to get a wireless kit for them, but not positive about it. The Enduro 2 as I've bought it isn't wireless. I have only ridden with one fellow with a wireless computer and he liked it. Don't know what it is though. Go over to the Singlespeed board and ask for Shiggy, he's got a wireless computer on his singlespeed.
