What is the best way to rig a pick up truck bed to hold two bikes? For what it's worth, it's an F-150 with a tool box. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have 2 bike mounts on mine and 2 wheel mounts. I just bolt them to the Tool box. I use wing nuts on the inside of the tool box for the wheel mounts, so I can take them off if I need to put something else in back of the truck. 2 bike mounts and 2 wheel mounts should run you around 60 to 80 bux. I use a small bungee cord to hold the back end of the bike to the side of the truck so it doesnt bounce around. I also use a cable lock to lock the bike to the truck (I run the cable through the bike mount). This way if I have to run into the gas station for a drink, noone can grab my bike and run. Anyways, hope this helps.

I've been using this with my Toyota Tundra to haul two bikes and it has come in handy. Before that I used a hitch mount. This thing can be removed and tossed in behind the seats of your truck, or in your case in the tool box to keep the thieves away. When I have bikes mounted to it I use a Kryptonite cable lock around the bike and run it to one of the corner tiedowns that are in the truckbed.

I use 2 sets of tie down for motorcycles for my bike and whoever else is going along. You just alternate your bikes (front-back,back-front) and it works great. besides it will only cost you $20 and you can just toss the straps in your tool box or in the truck when you are not using them.
