Bought from Classifieds, No Product (4 posts)
| Bought from Classifieds, No Product | RippedOff May 18, 2002 12:46 PM | | I bought a set of pedals off of the MTBR Classifieds over a month ago and haven't seen the pedals yet. The guy hasn't responded back to any e-mails.
I paid via Paypal, I have reported the situation to them a couple days ago but no word from Paypal either.
Unfortunately, I don't have any contact info other then his e-mail address. I made the rookie mistake of not getting at least a phone number, but I figured since he was a Verified Paypal Number, there is some sort of protection.
What is the best way of going about this?
The money lost is not a big concern for me, just the principal of it.
Thanks. |
| Its a BIG deal to us though | devildog May 18, 2002 4:04 PM | | Post the person's name, address, and email. There may be some friendly mtbr types nearby that can persuade him to do the right thing. Barring that nail the bastard for mail fraud. |
| Paypal will return your money after 30 days.. | Brace1 May 18, 2002 6:33 PM | | If he cannot prove that he mailed it (at least that's what they told me when I was in a similar situation). Proof consists of providing a tracking number. Of course if he closes his Paypal account in the interim you're SOL. |
