| Trail Recomendations for vacation in CO, UT, NV, NM, AZ.. | ToddM May 18, 2002 8:22 PM | | A group of us are looking at taking 2 weeks and camping / mountain biking in AZ, NM, NV, UT, CO and would appreciate any trail recommendations everyone might have for intermediate/advanced mountain bikers.
Certainly Fruita, Durango, Moab, Sedona etc. are on the list but
So any trails you'd recommend either if you have vacationed and rode there yourself or if your from one of those states and can give us some advice on the best scenic and technial trails you have found in those areas.
Thanks in advance.

They will have a more intamate knowledge of the surrounding area, plus they will have really good directions to trail heads.
that said,
My favorite in Moab is Porcupine rim, do it either as a shuttle, or as a big loop(don't forget your entrance pass if you do the loop). Lots of scary fast downhill!!!
Bartlet wash in moab is also a blast, it has all the benifits of the slickrock trail with out all the down sides, very few people, no realy place to go but lost of stuff to screw around on, a real blast! disadvantage is that is kinda hard to find so make sure you have a book or REALLY good directions.
have fun, take some pics for us. |
