Bottom bracket size...Spiff

For a FSR (Rockhopper FSRxc comp. model 01') to go with a XT crankset ?

I would try your LBS and have them measure it for you. If you have a specialized dealer in your area they would be the first people to go to.

you could also try the specialized web site, if they keep old specs i don't know...

if you want to measure it your self... get a pretty good tape measure, and measure the length of the BB shell. as for how long the taper or sline is going to be i have no idea how to measure that.

on this BB size. There was a suggestion that it was 73x118 E type but I see on the specialized site that your bike had a 68 BB so the shell length might be 68, not 73. The change from square taper to splined will require the next size up for spindle length so likely it will be 118. You definately need a E type bottom bracket so that means UN-70-E splined, either 68 or 73 x 118. ( I am assuming that your front derailler is XT E-type) Why not wait until tomorrow and have specialized confirm so you don't have to screw around with exchanging it later.
