May 19, 2002 1:27 PM | | I am trying to arrange purchase of a frame from someone in Canada, and I wanted to use a payment service because we are crossing a border and I feel it would be more secure for both parties. Unfortunately, I went to the Paypal website and I can't make sense of exactly how their service works. They're a little short on the details. They want me to sign up for an 'account' of some sort before I do anything. I have no desire to enter a long term business relationship with them, I just want to buy this frame in a way that guarantees my security. How can I use their service or one like it to buy this frame? Thanks in advance for the help.

May 19, 2002 1:39 PM | | .....you have to jump through all their hoops if you want to use their service. They need to know bank account and credit card info. Due to their need to know what I considered too much personal stuff and their laborious registration process that was long on crap and short on instructions I gave up a couple of times but finally bit the bullet and completed it.
That being said, I'm in Canada too and have used it a couple or three times with success. |
