Is there a major difference in the Shimano LX and XT Cassette. According to shimano they are the same weight is their any big difference or should i go with the LX instead of paying the extra $15 i do mainly xc trail riding no major drops or any thing to hardcore.
oops the lx is a lil heavier but thats not a major concern (nm)Eric Hoefer

I have LX and I love it and it shifts well. XT doesn't shift any better than LX, its just a few grams lighter for those who are concerned with extra grams on their bike. Also another difference is the color. But for performance its the same.
thanksEric Hoefer
