Rubber adhesive to mend sidewalls?(4 posts)

Rubber adhesive to mend sidewalls?Shylock
May 19, 2002 6:18 PM
I abraided the sidewall on my explorer pros to such an extent that the Stans liquid latex solution won't seal and the tire goes flat. Is there a rubber adhesive I can use to fill in the holes in the sidewall soo I can continue running Stans?

Thanks

A buddy of mine used some type of epoxy to hold a bead that had seperated from the tire. I've used epoxy to fix all sorts of stuff and I haven't been disapointed yet.

Shoe Goo and/or a glue patch...Metroid

Shoe Goo is good stuff. It remains pliable so it shouldn't crack. I have a couple tires with Shoe Goo and Rema patches on them. I would only use a patch on the inside of the tire though.
