that the chain skips on granny ring durring hard climing i went back
to LBS they put a new chain and granny ring on and it seemed ok at
store but on next ride the chain was still skiping it being
saturday i was going to take back on monday .on third ride on sunday
i did'nt even make from the parking lot to the trail and the chain
snapped bike is at LBS again i am waiting for it but am already
starting not to like my bike :-( anyway i was wondering if anyone
else was having simular problems or if you are happy with your NRS |

Jun 16, 2002 9:00 AM | | ...out of the box suffered from a loose bottom bracket, loose crank arm bolts, and a few loose pivot bolts. These could all potentially contribute to your problem.

Jun 17, 2002 3:25 AM | | Nate's got the craziest NRS out there, but check the bolts he mentions. Also, look into the rear hub axle bolts, they're known to come loose, loosen up the freehub, and taking some pawls with it in the process.
It's probably one or a combination of the problems mentioned. If you replace anything else...do the rear wheel first. |
