| 14" jamis komodo standover hieght | LaraP Jun 16, 2002 9:45 AM | | I want to buy a 14" Jamis Komodo but I'm concerned about standover. I have a 29" true inseam when I'm barefoot. I plan on building the frame up with an 80mm fork. The website shows a 28" standover - but I think that might not be accurate.
If anyone can tell me what their actual standover is on a 14" komodo I would love to know. Thanks for the input.

| Fork may change numbers | joeblow Jun 16, 2002 10:15 AM | | A few things:
the Komodo was specd with a 105 mm fork. An 80mm would reduce standover.
Also, you are measuring barefoot - so with shoes on you will add up to an inch in your inseam.
I think this will work with your sizes. It's a nice bike - good luck. |
| 14" should be fine....... | heff® Jun 16, 2002 10:40 AM | | ......the top tube on the Komodo slopes pretty dramatically, so you should have plenty of room with shoes on.
You'll also be changing the head and seat angles a bit, as like the other guy said, the Komodo was designed around a Manitou X-Vert 105mm travel fork. Personally, I'd go that route, it's a killer bike. I've been riding mine for two years now, love it.
