Is there a way to get chain gunk off of sidewalls without damaging the tire? Also, if you use white lightning lube on a new chain will the gunk still turn black over time?

I don't want anyone to know that I go to the tanning beds. (They all think I have a condo in Redondo, I am Mondo Blondo, and this is an important issue for me.) I left the racing tags on the front of my bike for a full month after the Castaic Lake regionals, But it did not make me any faster, I admit. What IS a girl to do?

Try Simple Green or similar degreaser and rub with a pad.
