I am going to buy a Intense Tracer, but the nearest Intense Dealer is 200 miles away. I was wondering if any of you would know which online dealer is the best to go through? I checked 123Bikes and BeyondBikes. Do you know if there are any other online dealers that are worth looking into? Any information on dealers or Tracer buildups is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For mail order check with Charles Colker (who often posts helpful tuning tips here) at Hammerheadbikes.com.

Before he was an Intense dealer I bought my Tracer frame from 123Bikes.com. They included a "free" King headset with the MSRP and shipped free (and no tax). I recieved the frame about 1 week after the order even though they didn't have the frame in stock. They have always provided fast and friendly service with me.

I'd suggest an XT or XTR build. Get disc compatible hubs even if you don't get disc brakes now, eventually you will. For better than XT hubs for the same price, I've been very happy with SRAM 9.0 (discs can be adapted later). SRAM hubbed wheel set with any rim choice is about $230.

Also you can order the Tracer with a coilover Vanilla-RL (highly recommended) for no extra charge. If you get a coil rear get a high quality coil fork to match (Fox Forx Vanilla-R would be my choice).

Scheels All Sports is lbs out of Montana and I know they used to sell Tracers (I was going to buy one from them). If I remember correctly they were $200 lower than any web retailers. They don't have a site so you must call. 1 866 724 3357 or 406 656 9220 (no I don't work for them I have just bought a bunch of stuff from them). As for possible builds would you believe I got my Tracer to about 23 and change. "no"? see this link: www.light-bikes.com/gallery/joe.htm
