Custom Paint Job(1 post)

Custom Paint JobPants?
Aug 7, 2002 11:37 AM
I'm building a bike up from components, and just bought my brand new shiny Iron Iron Horse frame. Now I'm wanting to paint the sucker. I want it to look good so I'll do some clear coats over the job and then buff it with super fine grain sandpaper, but I'm wondering if anybody knows any good techiques for putting my first color coats on. I'm thinking I might try to cut stencils out of contact paper, but I don't know how that will work. Also, should I just go over the factory pain job, or sand all that off?

thanks, sam
