Any one know where to find a Spooky Darkside?spooky tooth

I know they are out of biz, but thought there might be one laying around in someone's garage. If not, anyone know a frame with the same geometry?

Someone was selling one recently here I think in the Boston area.

Might be worth your effort to find something similar by a different manufactuer. Although Spooky had a cool, underground, image and an excellent feel on all things east coast...the frames had a habit of breaking.

I wish more manufactuers would realize that biking exists outside of fire-road laden California, and not everyone wants a bike with slack, "stable" angles.

good luck in your search.

Thanks for the tip, I did do a search and it netted nothing. I rode mine for a couple of years with no problems, but I do hear what you are saying. ALOT of guys have broken theirs. I guess that's why I was looking for something with comaparable geometry. Do you know what dimensions that the Darkside had? I know it had a steep head angle, short chainstays and a high BB (71.5, 16.25 and 12.5"?? respectively). Thanks for your help.....
Sorry...but found a couple othersBob™

I must have seen it posted elsewhere...but I did find one listed here: http://teambulldog.com/TradingPost.htm

Not sure how old the post is, but for $250 it'll be worth looking into.

Here's another at JB's --brand new (page last updated in February though)

You may want to look into a pre-genesis, pre-Trek, Fisher circa 1994-1995.
I had a '94 Mt.Tam with:
71/74 head /seat angles
16.5 chainstay
and 12"BB height.

It was as close as I could get to a Spooky without shelling out the huge bucks.

What size do you need?ssn714

I have a new, never built 21" (19" center-to-center) frame that I would consider selling for the right price. I was going to build the ultimate hardtail but could kinda use the money.
Let me know. The frame is white and immaculate.
This picture is of a 17" frame.

I had a 17" that was a bit too small. I have been looking for a 19" since I sold mine. The 21" you have might be a little long in the top tube.....I'd also like to know what you'd want for the frame.
