| I've got the coolest LBS | fast feet Aug 7, 2002 5:19 PM | | I ordered an Ellsworth Isis through my LBS and after checking many online sources I've found that the deal he gave me would be difficult to beat even after shopping lowest prices on all the different components.
I got:
2001 Isis w/Fox Float R
XT group
Mavic Crossmax tubeless CD wheelset
Easton EA 70 seatpost and Handlebar
Manitou Black Super Air 80/100
Selle Italia Flite Ti saddle
Chris King headset
Salsa Moto stem
Conti UST tires |
| Congrats! Yep, good LBS's exist | PC1 Aug 7, 2002 5:36 PM | | The one down the street from me is run by a a woman who races professionally and her husband who is her mechanic. They base their prices on what they see online. They figure in what shipping runs in our area and price their stuff accordingly. She also sets up training schedules for customers based on what their goals are. A great LBS is hard, but soooo good to find. Glad you found a good one.

| pretty bike, but....... | Aesop Rock Aug 7, 2002 8:45 PM | | i think it would look sooo much better with a black seatpost.
other than that, she's banging like the little drummer boy on speed |
| Yeah, probably but what about... | Fast feet Aug 7, 2002 9:33 PM | | ...the seatpost matching the color of the fork stanchion tubes? That might look good.
The seatpost here matches the handlebar color which, from another angle, creates a different perspective.
Thanks for your input and the compliment. |
