| Good LBS in miami? | Hitchhiker Aug 8, 2002 7:36 AM | | Looking to buy a bike and visited a few shops, I am less than impressed about their service. One tried to sell me a bike they had on sale which was obviously too big for me, another told me flat out (after a couple of questions) "you are not ready to buy a bike today, do some research and get back when you are ready"...
The only good shop I have found have higher prices. Although I am willing to pay a little bit more for the service, I was wondering if any of you have good experience with a LBS in the Miami area |

Mack Cycle is a rip off
CycleWorld on Bird Road is the cheapest and they are knowledgable.
ALso there is a bike shop in broward which is almost as cheap or cheaper than cycleworld and they know their sh_t. I don't remember the name, but they are listed in the Miami yellow pages.
Hmm, who else?.... That is pretty much it.... |
| re: Good LBS in Broward..... | Vertical Aug 8, 2002 10:24 AM | | is International Bike at Sunrise Blvd. just East of where US 1 turns north, take the beach road and it's just on the right. Also try Wheeler Dealer on Peters Road just west of 441 that's about a mile and a half north of 595 and 441. One other is Easy Rider that's south of 595 on west side of University about a mile. |
| Well I give a few that have been good with me... | DIRT BOY Aug 8, 2002 10:28 AM | | RB Cycles on US1 across from the University Of Miami. Tell Giovanni with the Blue Klein Hardtail sent you)
Bikes To Go on US1 next the The Big Chesse Resturant
Bicycle & Fitness on US1 in Soth Miami.
Bike tech is ok but over priced. Teh owner Aribne is a good though.
Mack Cyle only has good prices when something is on sale.
Just avoid Big Wheel Cyles in Miami, I still have nightmares from them.
You can also try Downtown Bicycles in Ft. Lauderdale. Thet have a great rep.
