Anyone know of a good shop in NYC????FHM

Instead of shopping around a million different online sites, Ideally, I'd like to walk into a LBS and pick up an item for around the same price that I would be able to get it for online.

Is this possible? Does anyone in NYC know of any good shops??

Thanks
Not a chance!Matno

Never going to happen. I don't know of a single shop anywhere that can get you prices like that (unless you know someone really well...). However, I can recommend some shops as being more helpful than others.

GOTHAM BIKES (112 W BROADWAY) in south Manhattan is a great shop. They were very friendly when I went there, and they carried cool stuff. However, I went during the blackout we had a couple of weeks ago and it was too dark to see the prices. Decent selection.

Larry & Jeff's (upper east side) has good selection, but is really overpriced, and the guys who work there are dorks (at both locations).

Castle Hill Fitness in the Bronx (just off the Bruckner) is helpful, and the prices are decent, but they don't have a ton of high-end stuff in stock.

Wish I knew more. I'm still looking for what you're looking for...
