Gaerne shoes, good or no? (4 posts)

Sep 3, 2002 3:57 PM | | I'm looking for some reviews of Gaerne quality. i tried some on earlier, and they fit good and are very light and airy. i'm just wondering if they are worth the money? I've seen them for $85, msrp is $140. someone push me into them cause my answer's are too small. |

Sep 4, 2002 9:50 PM | | I bought the Garne Verticals from JensonUSA for $79 and they're nice, light, and fit well. I really prefer Sidi's yet the Verticals have a good feel and are light but they're not as well made as Sidi. I had to re-do some stitching on the strap where its attached to the upper on the inside of the foot before it crosses the tongue of the shoe.
I inspected the rest of the shoe after finding this defect and all appears OK but it still is a inexcusable quality control issue and hopefully a rare problem on Garne's.
The price is right and it's a good shoe. If you buy, examine the stitching carefully and send them back if you notice any problem. |
